The Amadinda is completely assembled. It needs only to be placed into a trench with dimensions 24 inches wide and 62 inches long. The trench should be eight inches deep, and there should be two eight inch diameter holes 36 inches deep dug inside the trench to give frost protection, in regions where this is a consideration.
Once the trench is dug, the Amadinda can be placed inside the trench and the concrete poured. The instrument should be braced upright until the concrete has cured.
The Amadinda is a heavy instrument. Please do not allow it to fall over during the installation process. Significant damage would result. Until it is installed in concrete it is not stable standing up. It must be braced if left standing after being removed from its crate. The Amadinda could be gently laid on the ground with the bars all facing up if bracing it is not practical.
